Crypt Wendtii Tropica

Cryptocoryne Wendtii Tropica is a beautiful Crypt known for its dark green to brown leaves with a unique hammered texture! Unlike some other Crypts that grow more upright, this variety tends to spread its leaves out along the substrate, especially when given plenty of space.

Crypt Wendtii Tropica is a great option for smaller aquariums since it stays relatively compact, with leaves typically reaching around 4-8 inches long. It's also pretty hardy and can adapt to a variety of water conditions, including harder water!

Like other Crypts, this plant is a root feeder and will benefit from a nutrient-rich substrate or root tabs to help keep it happy and growing. It doesn't require CO2 and does well in low to medium lighting, making it a great option for beginner planted tanks!

Crypts are often grown emersed (above water), so it's normal for some of their leaves to melt as they adjust to being fully submerged. Once new submerged growth starts coming in, the plant should begin to settle into its new environment.
